Stephen Strasburg Washington Nationals MLB Framed 8x10 Photograph MLB Debut 2010 Pitching

Stephen Strasburg made his major-league debut on June 8, 2010, against the Pittsburgh Pirates. A Sports Illustrated columnist termed it "the most hyped pitching debut the game has ever seen." Strasburg picked up the win in his debut, pitching seven innings, allowing 2 earned runs and no walks and striking out 14, setting a new team strikeout record. Further, he was the first pitcher in history to strike out at least eleven batters without issuing any walks in his pro debut, while falling just one strikeout short of the all-time record for a pitcher's debutKarl Spooner (1954) and J.R. Richard (1971) both struck out 15, but each took nine innings to do it, and each walked three. Strasburg's first career strikeout was of Lastings Milledge. He struck out every batter in the Pirates line-up at least once, including the last 7 batters he facedalso a Nationals record. At one point in the second inning, a Strasburg fastball clocked 100 mph. There is no better way to commemorate your favorite player or team than this quality collectible.
