Such is the case for the story of Vince Paple, a bartendar and substitute teacher who found his way onto the Eagles roster in 1976. The Bi-centennial year, which was noted by a patch worn on the sleeve of the Eagles jerseys, was the focus of the city in which this country was established. Papale spent three seasons with the Eagles special teams unit.
