Mitchell & Ness UTAH JAZZ 87-88 Hm Jersey

1987-1988 Utah Jazz white poly textured mesh home throwback jersey #12 John Stockton

On January 5, 1988, while playing a pick up game of basketball, the legendary Pistol Pete Maravich collapsed and died of a heart attack. To honor his legacy and his contribution to the history of basketball the Utah Jazz wore a patch on their jersey. The Jazz were led by John Stockton, another playmaking point guard who was drafted out of Gonzaga University in 1984. Stockton quietly led the Jazz to the playoffs where they lost to the Lakers in the Western Conference Semi-Finals. Stockton would go down as one of the best point guards to ever play the game and would collect more assists then any other player in the games history.
