Milwaukee Brewers 1982 Road Jersey - Robin Yount

After the 1952 season the Boston Braves relocated to Milwaukee. In 1957 and 1958 they hosted the Yankees in the World Series, winning the title in 1957. The Braves vacated Milwaukee for Atlanta in 1966, leaving a void that was later filled by the expansion of the Seattle Pilots in 1970. The Pilots were renamed the Brewers, and twelve short years later they emerged as the best team in the American League. In 1982, the Brewers were led by American League MVP Robin Yount, who collected a league best 210 hits while batting .331. With the pennant in their back pocket, Milwaukee welcomed back the World Series for the first time in twenty-four years. Despite leading the series three games to one, Milwaukee fell to the St. Louis Cardinals in the seventh and decisive game.
